Synopsis
Here is a story about an only child named Toshie. A lonely girl yearning for some sort of companionship. Suddenly, she gets her wish. Out of nowhere comes a new, but familiar friend. This bold new playmate excites Toshie. Finally she has someone to play with, and as long as their heart desires! At least until a realization is struck, leaving Toshie where she was before this new arrival. Except now, a tad less lonely and more fulfilled.
About the Film
Story Abstract
After two failed attempts at coming up with a story of my own and trying to work on a collaborative with all that I had on my plate at the time, the time to conjure up a short was quickly dwindling. Having wanted to showcase something more abstract and lyrical with heart, my imagination seemed to be lacking. One of my best friends at the time, while studying at the Academy for Screenwriting and Directing, mentioned that he had just the right story. Oddly enough, he had me in mind when writing it for a class project. This is that short.
